Steven J. Friedenthal, CPA

One of the firm's co-founding partners, Steve's career spans almost thirty years in public accounting and has served a wide variety of small to mid-size entrepreneurial companies and their owners. His professional experience prior to the formation of Oberstein Stock & Friedenthal LLP included almost thirteen years as an audit and accounting partner with Good Swartz Brown & Berns LLP, one of the largest independent firms in Southern California, as well as over three years as a Principal in Ernst & Young's (formerly ArthurYoung) Entrepreneurial Services Group. Along with his responsibilities in providing various hands-on advisory services to his client base, he is also responsible for overseeing the firm's quality control with respect to the accounting and financial reporting area of the practice as well as heading up the firm’s new business development efforts.

Steve is a California C.P.A., with membership in both the California Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He graduated in 1973 in business and Accounting from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce.
